TDCX Corporate Social Responsibility Q2 2022

TDCX Corporate Social Responsibility Q2 2022

29 July 2022

The year’s second quarter continued to be a productive period for TDCX’s various CSR initiatives focused on our three advocacies: #BeHappier, #BeKinder, and #BeGreener. In Q2, we explored new endeavors that successfully hit TDCX’s CSR goals of empowering people, uplifting communities, and promoting sustainability.

For the past three months, TDCX campuses all over the world implemented 13 projects in partnership with eight different institutions and helped over 20,000 beneficiaries across our different local communities. As we go further into 2022, our people have become more excited about lending a hand and sharing their passion for social welfare.

Towards a greener future

In Singapore, our mission to #BeGreener took center stage through various environmental rehabilitation programs. We launched the TDCX Green Week, where employees participated together in a terrarium-making event as part of World Environment Day and a Coastal Clean-Up campaign.

Other TDCX campuses also contributed towards conserving the environment. In Thailand, TDCX conducted a Mangrove Planting Activity at Bang Pu. Our campus in the Philippines held #BeGreener While Learning, where TDCX purchased 150 trees in celebration of Earth Day. These trees were planted in Mount Sinaka in North Cotabato in partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation. This program aimed to educate people about growing and preserving plant life and whole ecosystems.

Small gestures go a long way

In our mission to #BeKinder, TDCX Thailand initiated the Songkran Joy for the Elderly program to help the Ban Bangkhae Nursing Home residents. Our Philippine campus took part in the Your Voice Matters: Love Your Country, in line with Philippine Independence Day. In this program, TDCX invited broadcast journalist Howie Severino, who discussed participating in activities to address national concerns. It highlights the importance of using our voice to make a mark on the country. In addition, they also participated in Clutter That Matters, a donation drive for the beneficiaries of Caritas Manila and other Filipino non-profit organizations.

TDCX Spain started a fundraiser for Ukraine. TDCX employees in Spain sold snacks and beverages with the proceeds going directly to Ukrainian beneficiaries. Our Singapore campus rolled out successful #BeKinder activities, headlined by their trusted partnership with the Willing Hearts Foundation to supply meals to the elderly, disabled, and low-income families. They also initiated a silent auction, the Charity Drive for the children of the Darul Ihsan orphanage. Meanwhile, TDCX Malaysia collaborated with various universities by inviting students to tour the office, aimed at providing job opportunities, information, and practical insights that are useful in their life outside of school.

Boosting happiness levels

Our #BeHappier initiatives uphold employees’ well-being and personal development. For this quarter, TDCX China started distributing care boxes in Shanghai as part of their assistance to employees affected by the pandemic. Inside the care boxes were groceries, including meat, vegetables, and fruits; to relieve people from going out and joining crowds. In addition, they also held their celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival. Traditionally a celebration of health and medicine, the Dragon Boat Festival this year was a much-anticipated event for our colleagues in China, most especially during this time when there is a renewed focus on health.

CSR in TDCX

Our CSR commitment to impact communities and the environment in a constructive and transformative way is anchored to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. As we lead a positive change towards society and the environment, we also want to influence our people to achieve goals on well-being and sustainability, with the hope of creating an organization that is socially concerned and aware.
