At TDCX, we are committed to creating a transformational impact around the world.
Despite all the uncertainties of last year, 2020 turned out to be a landmark year for us in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility. Last October, we officially unveiled our newly established global CSR program, aligning our organisation’s philanthropic efforts. Three months after that, our TDCX teams spread across Asia, Europe, and Latin America have begun to diversify their initiatives, involving more employee volunteers globally.
Our CSR program stems from one larger umbrella — our belief that life is already good, but we could still strive to #BeMore. With this, we streamlined our initiatives and came up with three pillars, namely, #BeHappier (to uplift the lives of our employees), #BeKinder (to empower local communities), and #BeGreener (to help preserve the environment).
In December 2020, we celebrated our biggest milestone to date — turning a quarter of a century old in the ever-competitive BPO industry. The pandemic didn’t stop us from celebrating our 25th anniversary virtually in style and giving back to our amazing people who made this possible. We orchestrated a festive event brimming with #BeHappier experiences to promote employee engagement and happiness. The celebration featured inspiring speeches by our leaders, celebratory cake cutting, and champagne toasts, and highlighted employee recognition awards, contest winners, and jackpot prizes. Participated by a record of 6,000 employees, the special event was marked a success.
The past quarter also saw us steadfastly support a range of #BeKinder initiatives, from responding to the world’s biggest crisis of 2020, acting in the wake of natural calamities, to aiding children, families, and underserved communities. TDCX Philippines, Thailand, and Colombia were able to donate $25,000, while employee donations alone from TDCX Singapore, Philippines, and Spain amounted to $5,500. In total, we were able to be of assistance to 12,700 beneficiaries.
The pandemic has put constraints on the extent of activities we can do to help our environment. Despite that, our local teams sought out flexible solutions to continue to promote an array of programs to protect the environment and #BeGreener. One of the highlights of our Q4 2020 was planting 1,558 trees in the Philippines and Colombia.
The launch of TDCX CSR would not be as successful if not for the strong interest and unwavering support of our partner institutions and employees. Thanks to our dedicated CSR Ambassadors who have been relentlessly leading their respective teams, we were able to pursue these activities and touch more lives as a result.
