TDCX Corporate Social Responsibility Q3 2021

Anchored in our CSR pillars and core areas, we dedicated the third quarter of 2021 to continuing far-reaching programs that we embarked upon earlier this year. Our teams also focused on sustaining initiatives that worked best on a local level, leveraging both physical and virtual spaces to better implement our projects.

TDCX Featured Articles - TDCX Corporate Social Responsibility Q3 2021 In Q3, we partnered with 14 nonprofit organizations, implemented 42 projects overall, planted 212 trees, and completed 373 volunteer hours. Through our social-facing programs, we were able to serve 12, 625 people globally.

Promoting the welfare of employees

While most have well adjusted to the new normal, employee welfare is still among our constant endeavors. Thus, we carried on doing a variety of #BeHappier initiatives to support our employees working from home and in the office. In Malaysia, we gave out massage guns for our Q3 Staff Appreciation Day, a quarterly tradition of gifting TDpeeps with a small token to show gratitude and appreciation. In Thailand, our local team organized highly engaging activities online, Zumba classes, skills-based competitions, and variety shows, to name some. The same goes for our TDpeeps in Colombia who took part in several contest-based programs and holiday celebrations in the office.

Uplifting communities through volunteering and charitable giving

Hinging on its established partnership with Willing Hearts Foundation, TDCX Singapore remains a frontrunner when it comes to community volunteerism. Our TDheroes volunteered their time and energy anew to help the charity kitchen in preparing meals for over 9,000 beneficiaries. In addition, many TDheroes in Singapore also continued to share their skills and knowledge for the culture and language sharing program in partnership with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre.

In the Philippines, our local team remained steadfast in supporting local communities affected by the pandemic and recent natural calamities. Our team extended some of its previous food donation drives, such as the Food Rescue Program in Cebu province and Friday Food for Frontliners (4F). In close collaboration with our local Employee Engagement, we also conducted another food donation project to support Gentle Hands and a local hospital in Makati City. Taking full advantage of the digital technology, TDCX Philippines also arranged a virtual talk on food security and a livelihood-selling event to promote local products and small homegrown businesses.

Meanwhile, in Japan, our team was able to help serve almost 200 beneficiaries through their contribution to the Kids Earth Fund and Japan Pink-Ribbon of Smile and Happiness campaigns.

Fostering a greener behavioral mindset and workplace

Following last quarter’s big achievement of becoming a carbon-neutral company, TDCX has taken the initiative to advocate green office spaces by conducting a regular and standard internal audit of all its campuses. We are positive that this will raise our teams’ awareness of the sustainability practices that we have in place or should be incorporating in our offices to limit our carbon output and conserve energy. In its first round of audit, TDCX Cebu – Central Bloc was recognized as the most sustainable TDCX site.

While TDCX has now completely offset its carbon emissions, it didn’t stop our teams from going greener. For instance, in Colombia and in the Philippines, we were able to plant over 200 trees with the help of our partners. Meanwhile, in China, our team found an innovative way to plant trees through their mobile phones using a mobile application. And just recently, they also kickstarted their waste awareness and garbage classification campaign at our Beijing and Shanghai sites.

In terms of office sustainability, TDCX Singapore and TDCX Malaysia unlocked their newest milestones. We were awarded Eco Office Champion by Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and Most Innovative and Sustainable Office Design by Human Resources Online respectively. These recognitions are valuable to us as it underlines our efforts in achieving outstanding environmental performance and increasing eco-consciousness among our employees.

Meanwhile, in other countries, our teams concentrated their green initiatives on promoting environmental preservation. For instance, in Spain, our TDheroes went out of the office to conduct a coastal cleanup at the nearby beach. In Thailand, we held a donation drive called Animal Food Bank to collect food, medical supplies, and hygiene kits for cats and dogs. Finally, in Colombia, TDheroes volunteered to assist and help out at a local animal shelter in Bogotá City.

Our programs are guided by our three CSR pillars: #BeHappier, #BeKinder, and #BeGreener.
